CLAIMS
CONSULTANCY
We are available for consultation and to provide assistance from the
beginning of an incident. We help Clients in processing the claim
documents required for defending claims or for pursuing recoveries.
These could be in respect of Cargo Shortage/Damage claims, Charter
Party disputes, General Average, Salvage matters, Collision claims,
Personal accident related claims and Contractual Disputes.
We will also provide detailed opinion on the merits of the claims.
We can study the contracts entered into by Clients and advise them
about the implications and liabilities arising there from.
CLAIMS RECOVERY
We assist Clients in recovering Claims from responsible parties, be it
Ship Owners, Charterers, Insurance Companies or from any third party
who is legally liable. We process and prepare the claim documents,
submit to the legally liable party and negotiate with them to get the
best possible settlement. This would involve pursuing the liable
parties in different parts of the world.
RESOLVING DISPUTES UNDER COMMERCIAL CONTRACTS
Disputes usually arise under contracts due to misinterpretation or due
to loosely worded clauses. We help to resolve such disputes through
discussions and mediation with the parties involved.
INSURANCE
We provide advices on the Insurance aspects/implications related to the
claims.
LEGAL
We provide advices on the Legal aspects/implications related to the
claims handling.
INVESTIGATIONS
We can carry out investigations on issues that may lead to potential
claims. This is important for Clients from a Risk Management
perspective .
INSTRUCTING SURVEYORS AND LAWYERS
Our services also include instructing surveyors and lawyers as
necessary and monitoring their performance for the benefit of the
Client.
